To accomplish this, they used their rapid-firing 25 mm cannon and also utilized their 28-ton weight to run over Russian soldiers who fled to underground hideouts.
Drone footage from the Ukrainian army shared on social media this week shows the Bradley from the 47th Brigade confronting a Russian infantry assault unit in the village of Stepobe, a suburb north of Avdiivka and a combat center on the northern front.
The drone spotted a Russian infantry team running behind the door of a basement in a ruined house in Stepobe. The drone pilot instructed the Bradley to head towards the distinctive green door. The three-seater Bradley pushed up to the top of the basement and broke the entrance with its weight.
Bradley backed up, fired some shots, launched smoke grenades, and then turned to return to its Ukrainian position.
This is a new way for the Ukrainian army to combat the Russian forces advancing around Avdiivka. It is new but effective. Crushing infantry with fighting vehicles is evidence of the brutality of the Battle of Avdiivka and the heavy losses inflicted on the Russian side as the Russian military enters its third month of operations.
